How should beginners correctly use gym equipment when they first go to the gym?
Start with the fixed machines. First, understand which muscles each machine targets and how to accurately engage the muscles. Learn the single-item fixed movements first, then gradually increase the weight. Next, try using the Smith machine and Cable Crossover.
The Smith machine is a lower-end version of the three main lifts, making it much safer. The Cable Crossover uses a cable system, providing greater flexibility in movement.Compared to completely fixed training paths, they require greater body stability and coordination.
Once you've developed decent strength and technique through these exercises, focus on free weight training with dumbbells and barbells. This order isn't absolute;lighter dumbbells are easier to use, and you can start training with them if you find the correct muscle engagement in the early stages.
If you have a gym partner, you can also combine fixed machines and free weights, provided you can avoid injury.
